Mark Dennis

Mark Dennis is a Sustainable Energy Engineering Professional, Energy and Project Manager and Professional Engineer. He is the Owner and Principal Consultant at Dennergy Limited, a full service agency that specializes in Sustainable Energy Development since 2011.

Dennis’ expertise lies in the development of renewable energy from concept to implementation including Solar, Wind and Hydro Energy. He completed this on a national scale during his tenure at the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica.

He is certified in Energy Diversification (conversion to LNG) and in Energy Systems Analysis and Power Evaluation. He has participated and managed Solar Projects such as: the Braham’s Texaco Solar System (2019), the Robin’s Nest Children Home Solar Hybrid System (2018) and the Net Zero Energy Plus Building which was the first of its kind in the Caribbean (2016).

His Wind Energy project successes include: the Wind Energy Assessment for the Jamaica Exclusive Economic Zone in 2010. His Hydro projects include multiple feasibility studies to include the Great River, Laughlands Great River and Rio Grande Assessments. He also has experience in Waste to Energy and Sea Water Air Conditioning Projects and Energy Strategy and Policy Development.

Mark is a Chevening Scholar who holds a Masters (with merit) degree in Sustainable Energy and Technologies and Management (2011) from the Brunel University in West London. He also gained first class honours in his Mechanical Engineering Degree (2006) at the University of Technology.  He is an active member of numerous engineering societies inclusive of the Jamaica Society of Energy Engineers.
